I posted a new blog on my personal blog page (click the image below). It addresses the phrase, “I did my best at the time,” and the sister phrase, uttered by those wishing to encourage us, “You did the best you could.”
But what about those times that we did not do our best? And I am guessing those times are more frequent than we care to admit.
On the other hand, being honest about our performance could be the most encouraging thing we do. Lying to oneself about poor performance is both discouraging and becomes a pattern.
So check out the blog entry. I offer some steps on dealing more honestly with those times that I/you did NOT do our best.
